PLAY TERRAINS
Philadelphia, PA
This project envisioned outdoor play spaces at the Cecil B. Moore and Kingsessing Branches of the Free Library of Philadelphia modelled on topographic maps of the watersheds around each branch.
The play spaces served to promote active, playful learning, provide space for social gathering and environmental education, and connect residents to nearby Civic Commons assets and Environmental Education Centers at Bartram’s Garden/Mile and the Discovery Center/East Fairmount Park Reservoir through joint programming efforts.
